Ventricular Cysticercosis


Abstract
Cysticercosis cerebri, the symptoms of which are similar to those of any other tumor of the brain, is often encountered in Korea. Author reports two cases of ventricular cysticercosis who was treated by surgically, one of which is third ventricle and one fourth ventricle.
In these case, they had without history of infection with T. solium, in abscence of demonstration Af the parasites in the subcutaneous tissue, muscle or other structures, and in the abscence of eosino)hilia of the blood and/or the cerebrospinal fluid, so the diagnosis was great difficult and usually only tentative. Author stresses that conray ventriculogram is useful diagnostic method in ventricular cysticsrcosis.
They were completely well and free of any neurologic disturbance and able to work after complete emoval of cyst.
